Facilitated by poet and bibliotherapy practitioner Natalie Scott, this taster session will guide you through a range of activities designed to help you become more expressive and self-aware, connect with other people and cope better with life’s problems.
Some activities will use a poem as a prompt to stimulate your own thoughts through group discussion and help you to write a creative response. Others will encourage you to express your thoughts on the page and through discussion in response to a subject, theme or object.
There will be no pressure to share your writing but if you choose to do so it will be received in a supportive, non-critical way. No prior writing experience is necessary and writers of all abilities are welcome. The main focus of the session will be on expression of ideas rather than writing craft.
