North-East-born pianist Jamie Bergin gives Darlington Piano Society’s next recital on Sunday 18th November 3pm in Central Hall, Dolphin Centre.

Jamie completed his degree studies with Lars Vogt in 2016 and continues to work with him at the University of Music in Hannover. He has won various prestigious prizes at national and international competitions. He has performed solo recitals and concertos throughout the UK and Europe including Sage Gateshead (with the RNS and Lars Vogt) and at the Berliner Philharmonie. His programme includes Schubert’s Moments Musicaux, Beethoven sonata no. 26 in E flat, Op 81a “Les Adieux”, Debussy’s Image oubliées, and ends with Ravel’s virtuosic “Gaspard de la Nuit”.

Florian Mitrea (27th January), his programme includes a selection of pieces inspired by the Danube
Mei Yi Foo (24th February) a virtuosic programme including works by Messiaen, Stravinsky and Balakirev
Leon McCawley (24th March), eminent British pianist in a programme celebrating early and late works
