Darlington for Culture (DfC), the voluntary organisation that speaks for the arts and culture sector in the borough, has named Jo Potter as its new Chair.
Jo, who lives in Darlington and is involved in several community organisation including Darlington Green Theatre, steps up from his role as Vice-Chair. Jo replaces John Dean, who steps down after serving in the role for five years.
Jo said: “I applaud the work that John has done to raise the profile of the arts in Darlington, in particular the development of the Arts Festival. I look forward to working with the Darlington Culture Volunteers service, our committee and organisations across the borough to further encourage the arts to flourish in Darlington.”
John said: ”It has been a privilege to serve as Chair during years in which Darlington for Culture has grown significantly and I wish Jo all good fortune during his time in office.”
