On Monday 16th July, a High Court judge handed down a ruling in the Crown Street Library judicial review case. The ruling was in favour of Darlington Borough Council’s plans to close the Crown Street building and move the central library service to the Dolphin Centre.

Response from campaigning group Friends of Crown Street is on its Facebook page ‘Darlington Library – Keep it at Crown Street’.

Darlington for Culture notes these developments with interest and continues to lobby and engage with all partners with an interest in the future of the town’s library service.
