Ever had a good idea for a short story, but couldn’t find a way to round it off? In this workshop, participants will explore ways to make links across a narrative and create interesting and compulsive plots. Example short stories will be analysed, advice given for writers’ own ideas and opportunities provided to develop own work.

Pete King is a local writer and regular contributor to Darlington’s Open Mic Night. He has an MA in Creative Writing. His short stories have won local competitions, featured in regional newspapers and been heard on talking books for the blind.

Last year, one piece was chosen by Popshot literary magazine as their entrant in the Best Original Fiction category in the independent publishers’ international Stack Awards.
