Hear the Royal Northern Sinfonia (RNS) on your doorstep this summer, as the Gateshead-based orchestra brings sounds of the new world to the region’s churches. Join them for ‘Dvořák in America’ at St. Cuthbert’s, Darlington, on Friday 19 July 7.30pm.

Copland: Hoe-Down
Dvořák: Two Waltzes, Op.54
Martinů: Nonet
Dvořák (arr. Farrington): Symphony No.9, ‘From the New World’

Dvořák said that he could not have written his iconic New World Symphony if he had never seen America, with its wide-open spaces and soulful music. The concert will be full of warm melodies and joyful dances, as RNS and Bradley Creswick present an enchanting evening of music inspired by the USA.

Online ticket sales will close at 5pm the day before the concert. Tickets may then be available on the door, but online booking is recommended.
