Stockton Borough Council is running a poetry competition for the Jubilee, and the winner of each category will have their poem performed at the Big Jubilee Lunch on Sunday 5th of June. They hope that the competition will gather reflections of many themes of the Jubilee, from The Queen herself, the past 70 years, British identity and togetherness. The winning entries will give a Borough-wide response to the past, present and future with our royal celebrations in mind.
The deadline is 5pm, 18th May, and there are categories for Children under 12, Young Persons 12-18, and Adults 18+.
Please feel free to distribute, and print off any of the attached posters and entry sheets to any of your interested audiences. As per the last competition, entries should be sent to events@stockton.gov.uk or posted to the outlined address.
