We recently awarded a small grant to Sean, to produce a short film provisionally titled North Country and we’ve received some great feedback!
‘Thank you so much for the small grant. We had a blast making this film. It was truly and eye opener to what Darlington and the north east can accomplish, as well as serving as an obvious need for more creative outlets.
This had our small team doing all sorts. With the money we…
- Organised cast members and done rehearsals.
- Paid for all cast and crew travel.
- Spent time acquiring locations.
- Created child policy documents.
- Had up to 200,000 pounds worth of film equipment insurance.
- Paid for the kit van fuel.
And a whole lot more. The main location we used was Dene Park Darlington. We were posted on a Darlington forum as people had seen us filming and a friend messaged me to ask if it was me.
As described I was asked to present photos from the behind the scene and how that positively effected Darlington so I will show them here. (I have sent these screen shots in a separate We Transfer document)
As well as this, the original plan was to have the film made by the end of the summer however with only showing the one film, we thought it would be better to speak with other film makers and have their film shown too. This would be better for Creative Darlington and an all round better event.
I am also in production of a short film for my final year project at university. This will not be ready until mid next year and I would like this film to be released at the same time. However if it is fully necessary that the film be released before 24th March then that is fine. ‘
Best Regards and God Bless
